I’m not sure if vegetable oil is a problem in slime, but I have concerns and I want to dig into that. Baby oil is often mineral oil with fragrance, but some brands use vegetable oil. Probably clouds clear slime, but I haven’t tested this yet. Mineral oil – Softens slime, adds gloss and reduces stickiness. Glow in the Dark glue – Elmer’s Glow in the Dark glue works like clear glue.īasic Slime Consistency Altering Additives Glitter glue – Elmer’s glitter glue works like clear glue Many other brands of glitter glue do not work well at all. Milky – Clear glue + a small amount of white glue Water slime – An extra jiggly clear glue slime with a water to slime ratio of greater than 1:1 All clear glue slimes can be coated (this needs to be tested) Let sit overnight or so to settle, then add a small amount of contact lens solution to coat (This needs to be tested) and glycerin to correct texture. Water up to a ratio of 1:1 Water:slime will make for a more jiggly slime.Ĭoated clear – Make clear slime with borax activator, slightly overactivated. I believe baby oil will cloud, but need to test. Please find information about working with wax safely from an authoritative source before experimenting with this slime.Ĭlear Slime – clear glue + activator, can contain some glycerin and/or water. The clay is mostly Model Magic, though I might have a packet of Daiso.

The glue is Elmer’s, because that’s what’s easily available to me.
#Best iceberg slime recipe update
I would like to update this document with details in the future, just as soon as I figure out what is going on there. Some of the things described in this document do not work with other activators. There are many resources for that information. This document does not contain instructions or recipes for slime. It is an unfinished document in many ways, but I feel it is a good start and already contains enough information to be useful to others. This is also the document that I wanted and couldn’t find. This is largely just my own notes that I originally made for myself, in order to get my own brain around the many available slime types and textures.
